I believe this is Hordeum jubatum - Foxtail Barley. It's lighter colour made it stand out compared to the rest of the valley. Species: Hordeum jubatum (foxtail barley)

Sagebrush At Lac Du Bois
Sagebrush is very common at Lac Du Bois, but this particular bush was photogenic with the light just starting to fall on the ridge. This image is two images seamed together (foreground focus and background focus). Species: Artemisia tridentata (big sagebrush)
