There is a part of the park where these mushrooms are usually abundant and this year was no exception. There were young to old mushrooms which makes identification easier.

This butterfly didn't perch for long, but it did keep coming back to the path. My strategy with Butterflies is to start taking photos, even when I'm quite far away so that I have "something".
Goose Tongue Growing In Rocks
This plant had thick leaves like you would expect on a cactus. I can't imagine how hot and dry it would be in the rocks all summer long without rain.
