Mostly Blue Sunset
Most recent comment: Monday, January 22nd, 2007 at 07:20:38
Just a little electric - I swear. It's sad that there are jet con trails up here - if a plane got into trouble, Rupert is a pretty small target.
I love this picture. There is not a lot going on but it is hard to take one's eyes off of it. Did you add any personal touches to this?

Star Burst Of Kelp
Most recent comment: Monday, January 22nd, 2007 at 07:20:37
Usually when Bull Kelp (Nereocystis luetkeana) looses its footing it floats around in the ocean for a while starving for light (the blades hang down, rather than dragged out in the current), and looses most of the ribbons before it finds shore. This particular example washed up shortly after loosing its footing.
I love how you can make something so uninteresting interesting. I have been enjoying looking at it to try and understand how you have communicated its beauty so well.

Sunrise Over Aristazabal

Sunrise Over Aristazabal
Do you have any books/suggestions that might help us beginners? Also, do you ever use a digital camera for professional purposes or do you just rely on slides because they reproduce a more quality picture?
Thank you

California Sea Cucumber
Most recent comment: Monday, January 22nd, 2007 at 07:20:11
Parastichopus californicus, or sometimes Giant red sea cucumber. This species is the largest that grows in our waters.
Great photo. I've never handled a sea cucumber - what does it feel like? ARe they hard and prickly or soft and squashy? REgards, Gero

The store that sells this gear is on the second floor. These boxes are set up on the street to attract consumers to the cheaper sales space.
hi guys i am interested in buying ps3's (JAPANESE VERSION)from you guys ...
PLease can you quote PRICE,SHIPPING COST AND TIME TO THE UK,PAYMENTS YOU ACCEPT.
DO YOU HAVE A TELEPHONE NUMBER WE CAN CALL ON ???? AND EMAIL ADDRESS
jemile Monday, January 15th, 2007 at 14:50:28
Sorry - I'm happened to walk past this store once - I don't actually represent them. If you really want to buy stuff in Japan, consider either Amazon.jp or learning to translate Japanese web sites.

McDonalds Tofu Burger
Most recent comment: Thursday, January 18th, 2007 at 07:05:34
We didn't have a lot of time for lunch so we stopped in at the McDonalds in the train station. They had the lighter choices menu like we have in Canada and I picked up a Tofu burger. It tasted a little strong of ginger, but overall was good.
this is a real tofu burger? It looks kinda like a normal burger

Waoo!!!! Thank you for sharing these pictures of the Dominican Republic, my beautiful country. I've also had the opportunity to go to those beautiful places. I love everything there; from their food to their precious stones. There is more to explore. If you go back, and is possible please share the pictures with me. You're a great photographer.

This was quite a large mushroom - perhaps the size of a soccer ball.
thats an ugly mushroom

i found several like this and plan on eatn them.
melder Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 at 18:28:26
My mushroom book says this particular mushroom is edible while young, but turns sour. That said, if you haven't positively identified the mushroom (usually with the aid of a local authority), consider it poisonous.

Palm Tree With Blue Sky

Palm Tree With Blue Sky. If I had to guess, I would say it is a coconut palm - Cocos nucifera. You can see seeds in the leaves.
beautiful picture you truly are an artist

Little Brown Jobby (Fox Sparrow)
Most recent comment: Friday, December 29th, 2006 at 07:11:59
This little guy was our insect Saviour! He loved eating black flies and would eat the flys flying around the deck areas. He became quite tame (and fat). I believe this is a Fox Sparrow.
i love this jobby

Most recent comment: Monday, December 25th, 2006 at 17:43:21
Snow fall is pretty rare in Vancouver. Oak street is pretty steep and with snow on the road it would be suicide to drive down.

RIGHT NOW I DON'T DRIVE SO NO MATTER TO ME AT ALL .
BUT WHEN I LIVED IN BOOKINGS OREGON WE HAD LOTS ONE TIME AND JUST SCARED THE HECK OUT OF ME CUZ I LIVED IN THE HILLS THEN AND I HAD TO DRIVE IT TO AND FROM WORK ..
